The Mobile Response Team (MRT) was launched in 2019 to provide immediate mental health crisis services to individuals of all ages in Clay County, Florida. These services are available 24/7 to Clay County residents at no charge to the individual served.

Individuals in need of crisis services may include people who are:

  • In need of immediate mental health stabilization
  • In need of immediate substance abuse evaluation
  • Threatening to harm themselves or others
  • Struggling with depression, anxiety, or mental/behavioral health difficulties

Who Can Request MRT Services

Anyone in Clay County, Florida who needs assistance, including:

  • Parents
  • Relatives
  • Foster Families
  • Schools
  • Law Enforcement

Goals of the Mobile Response Team

  • Reduce, manage, and resolve mental health crisis situations
  • Reduce the trauma of crisis situations
  • Prevent individuals from being sent to hospitals, emergency rooms, or jail
  • Identify the individual's immediate safety needs and stabilize them in the least restrictive setting
  • Help individuals and families develop strategies for dealing with future crises
  • Provide a connection to the services and supports that families need for recovery
